However it seems to be off by a quarter inch or so (you can see the one tab with the screw hole on the left, the other is hidden behind the mounting screw). You can see the mounting box has only two screw holes and they are horizontal and spaced 2 3/4 apart. If you want to install a light in an indoor location where there's no box, the easiest solution is to install a remodel box.
